What I did was created a slice in my roof and used the rising plate tool in roof design went back to D-Cam copied and distribute the purlins along the rafter length. It got me what I wanted. So I could have entered the purlins I wanted in my roof profile would I have done this with battens settings?

I have a roof profile, I placed plates and rafters using rafter and plates from proflie. Now I want to distribute purlins on top of the rafters along it's length. Is there a tool to do this? I'm trying the tool rising plates, but can't seem to get the purlins on the top of the rafter.

I was able to see my image this time...It took several tries I had to go back into D-Cam and redo the save current view.

Yes it is depressed, when I press the preview button the man apprears and not my image.

After doing a save current view in D-Cam, and then opening up D-Cad when clicking on the viewport the insert stored image box opens. The name of the image appears in the list... but I see no preview of the image? 8O

That worked pretty nice. Now I'm just wondering how one would go about it if a wall was not assigned to the truss.

I have the truss in wall 3 now I need to go to 6-2 mos set and do what? If I go to IF walls and check the box all 7 trusses come up.

I have seven trusses what's the fastest way to show just one of them when needed in D-Cam? :roll:

I changed the Obhoz to 6 " in my roof profile and recalculated the roof design and recalculated the roof construction. Nothing happened, "I edited my plates" I saw the Obholz was still at 5" I changed it here manually and the rafters changed. Shouldn’t it have changed automatically when I changed the Obholz in the roof profile and recalculated?

After modifying my roof profile how do I get the rafters to update? I placed the rafters using rafters from profile. I tried recalculating but still no change in the rafters.

Now I need Sq ft rather than m2. I went to settings / units and checked the box square feet.... but I still see the units in square meters.

Ok, I gave the north south different roof properties. I'm in roof calculation where do I go next?

I have a T- shaped building with an east / west and north / south axis. I would like to get information on the square feet of just the north / south roof. But not sure on how this is done?

I was able to import the lines. Importing geometry lines into another wall will come in handy!

I like the import approach as well, but I'm hung up on the import factor the default is 1.000000 and lines are not in proportion to the drawing when the lines are brought in. I need to reset this import factor to?
