    Zitat von Der_Planer

The information, whether a project is in use, is written to a file named "Projekt.pv9" within the project folder. As soon as you close the projekt, this file will be deleted automatically. In my opinion, it should not matter, if you delete these files manually, while the projects are definately not open.

OK, thank you I will give that a try.

    Hi,

We have recently had a problem on our server, which has required a new server build from a back up file. This means that all our Dietrich projects have the same modified date & time.

This seems to be causing a problem with us opening projects as the software thinks they are all in use and is asking for us to`unlock position`- we have around 3500+ projects so this is taking some time!

I seem to recall that there is a file which Dietrich's writes to to store this information.

Is it possible to delete that file to avoid the problem above, and the software will create a new one?

If that is correct, what is that file called?

    Kind regards,

    Lee.

    Hi,

Is there a file or a method of transfering settings/preferences to another computer - I have all my timber sections etc set up here but I'll be using a new computer soon and would rather not have to start all over again.

Also, any news on the new version? We are using 0903 230204 - I think it's pretty ancient now!

    Cheers,

    Lee.

    Hi all,

I have a little problem where a standard mortice and tennon connection on a brace ends up being processed as a tennon and slot on the machine.

This works obviously but it does slots with the chainsaw and these look a bit messy (I'd rather have it do it with the finger miller like a proper mortice) - can I change a setting to force the post proccesor to treat it as a proper mortice ?

    Cheers,

    Lee.

    Hi again ;)

I have a few problems when processing jobs, most importantly shorter pieces not being processed correctly (or at all).

In a job like the one shown here, the smaller jacks usually end up either as lengths of timber, or maybe it will put the compound cut on, but not the birdsmouth/rafter foot (or vice versa).

This happens with fairly large pieces too (up to around 700mm), not just tiny ones. The K2 will machine these parts (albiet with some waste, which we dont mind) because I end up programming them manually and running them, it just seems that somewhere along the way they get ignored :?

Is there a setting somewhere where I can tell the post process create them regardless?

I've had a look at the machine settings in DIMAS - but I dont want to mess about with it blindly.

    Cheers,

    Lee.

    ::::EDIT::::

Obviously I've checked that the parts are correct within Dietrichs and they are always correct - and they are produced in exactly the same way as the neighbouring jacks which turn out just fine.

    :::: ::::

Yup, that does make things easier.

Another quick one while I'm here - the ability to copy text from information boxes, such as when you use the Measure feature; it would be handy for pasting the info into other parts of the program (Move, Copy etc...).

    Cheers,

    Lee.

    Hello all,

Like Jim said, the option to save and recall tennon settings.

Also in tennon settings the option of setting the depth of a drilling and the orientation of the drilling (much like you orientate the tennon when using `choice`) - most of our holes are blind, so once we get it to the K2 I have to alter the depth and very often the reference side.

Also the ability to zoom/pan during a command, on larger jobs you'll often have to zoom in fairly close to pick, say the reference point, and then find that the destination point isnt quite visible forcing you to break out of the command, zoom/pan to a better view and start the command up again - can get a bit frustrating at times :?

Thats about it for now, sure I can think of summat else if I put my mind to it ;)

    Cheers,

    Lee.
