which version of Dietrich's did you install on the Vista pc?
If it is 6.01 or older, you first have to uninstall the old hardlock driver, then install the new one.

is there any antivir program running on your pc?

The file Dietr...\windat\kunde.dat is not responsible to find the hardlock. It contains your personal configurations, which parts of the program you are allowed to use in connection with your personal dongle number.
YOU MUST NOT TRY TO CHANGE THIS FILE!

If you use a Dietrich's version before 6.02, you need an actual aladdin driver for Vista. You find it in the forum http://user.dietrichs.com/index.php?name…=vista+hardlock
or at http://www.aladdin.com

The program should also run with Vista. Maybe there are graphic problems with OpenGL workspace. The first time you start Dietrichs with Vista, you have to rightclick the program icon and run it 'as administrator'. Later you can start it as a normal user.

How old is your machine? Maybe it has a hard disk crash or broken RAM?
Is there any other computer to install Dietrich's and finish your work?

what did you do, when you had the same problem 12 weeks ago?

Did you try to change your "kunde.dat"?
Did you move the program to an other folder?
Did you upgrade from XP to Vista?
Any other changes?

Be careful with Dicam 7-5! It does not always work exact.

Example:
I have a gable with 91.40° in the ground.
I want a 7-5 gable view and click the red lines.
Now I expect to see the real gable view, but I get the same rectangular view as I get with 7-3 8O

If I change the ground angle to 91.41°, I get a correct result. I think, the automatic correction has much too wide limits, or better, it should not be there at all.

If I click the short green lines of the door, I get a front view correctly turned around 1.40°. with 7-1 I can turn the view (step by step) to a real gable view, which I cannot get with 7-5 :?

In the case of a gable angle of 90.4°, the status line now would show 90°. If it would show 90.0000°, I could see the mistake immediately.

@Dietrich's:
1.40° automatic 'correction' is too much. in my example it makes 20 cm difference. Did you really want this?

I never found settings to change the decimals of these angles.
I guess it is 'hard programmed', but I also think it must be changed.

Ich kenne das aus anderen CAD-Programmen so, dass bei eingeschaltetem Raster nur die Rasterpunkte gefangen werden. Dazwischen ist nichts möglich. Das ist auch in Ordnung, wenn man das Raster mit einem Klick ein-/ausschalten kann, auch während ein offener Zeichenbefehl am Cursor hängt.

Auf jeden Fall muss ein Raster einstellbar sein: Ursprung, Gitterabstände und Winkelausrichtung.
Ohne diese Einstellungen sind Raster fast wertlos.

Da bin ich noch nicht so sicher. Was kommt denn auf die Maschine? Der "normale" Schwalbenschwanz wird zwar eckig dargestellt, kommt aber rund auf die Maschine.

Das Blatt kürzer zu schneiden sollte kein Problem sein. Ob Du die Aussparung passend hinbekommst, weiß ich nicht. Kannst Du mit MR den Einzelstab mit allen Bearbeitungen anzeigen, und die Bearbeitungen editieren?

walls can only connect if they belong to the same floor with the same number.
example: A wall from 'top floor 1' does not connect to a wall from 'top floor 2'

Did you try the "dormer wall"? It has other functions than the normal exterior or interior walls. They will adjust on top of a roof instead under the bottom roof side.

Ich habe es auch probiert, und es funktioniert doch richtig.
Die Kollisionskontrolle rechnet alle Stäbe weg, die genau deckungsgleich ineinander liegen. Ich habe alles gleichzeitig aktiviert, dann Kollisionskontrolle. Es kommt keine Meldung, aber die doppelten Stäbe sind danach alle weg.

Ich habe schon viele HRB-Wände nachträglich nur durch Holztrennung geteilt, und in der Produktion funktioniert es auch.
Es gibt aber inzwischen Gründe, die Wände schon geteilt einzugeben:

- Die Erstellung der Wandpläne ist weniger Aufwand
- Die Belegung mit dem HRB-Modul kann passend automatisiert werden
- Die Bauteile sind automatisch der richtigen MOS zugeordnet
- Die Schwerpunkte und Gewichte der Wände werden richtig berechnet

Man könnte auf die Idee kommen, im Grundriss eine Hilfswand quer zu einer langen Wand einzugeben. Wenn man die Hilfswand verlängert, so dass sie die lange Wand durchdringt, dann fragt das Programm, ob eine der Wände geteilt werden soll.
Das habe ich versucht, aber das Ergebnis ist unbefriedigend. Nach der Teilung entstehen zwar neue Wandkörper mit neuer Nummer, aber das ist auch schon alles. Alle Bauteile und Öffnungen, die in der langen Wand eingegeben waren, behalten ihre organisatorische Zuordnung zu der (nun kürzeren) Wand. Das Umorganisieren macht viel mehr Arbeit, als die Wände sofort geteilt einzugeben.

Für die Wandkonstruktion hatte ich mal danach gefragt. Dort ist es nicht möglich.

Das habe ich jetzt nicht probiert. Wenn das so ist, wäre das ein Programmfehler.

Schon bei der Eingabe kann man die Traufabschnitte weitestgehend richtig definieren. Falsch eingegebene Gratsparren kann man rechtsklicken und in diesem Menü ändern.

Erst das, was hier nicht einstellbar ist, sollte man mit manuellen Schnitten machen.

Do you have a hard disk backup containing your old Dietrich's installation?
You could compare the folders content and copy a missing file.

From where did you install the actual version?
Maybe, the 8 year old floppy disk has lost it's magnetic memory?
