sometimes it's useful to know about file contents, but the normal user should not think about it.

strategies: I make daily backups from all hard disks. So the maximum lost can be one day's work.

Sometimes I use "save as..." to store the position status with a new number. I always work with position .....001.
During my work I send the position to my client, to ask for details, and he knows the status. In one case, I lost a project, and could recover a rather actual status from my sent email.

Do not delete any project.
There is enough space on the hard disk. Once or twice in a year I compress my finished projects, and push them into an archive folder. This folder is on my hard disk, on my backup hard disk and on CD/DVD.

There is no automatic backup of projects.
You can automatically save your project every few minutes, but this "backup" is only useful, if the program has an abnormal abort. If you exit the project in a normal way, all automatic backup files will be deleted.

Every project contains a group of files with 5+3.3 names (project+position.filetype).

In most cases you cannot mix the files between two position versions, because they depend from the content of other files.

Ich muss des Öfteren klassische Holzverbindungen und Fachwerkbinder zeichnen, was mir mit dem Dietrichs relativ schwer fällt, wenn ich es mit dem Cad Work vergleiche mit dem mein Kollege zeichnet. Vielleicht aber auch nur, weil ich noch nicht den richtigen Tip bekommen habe.
Den Binder was ich unten angehängt habe, habe ich im 2D gezeichnet und dann extrudiert.

Vielleicht kannst Du mir den Einen oder anderen Tip geben.

Für ein verdecktes Eckblatt (allerdings ohne Haken) gibt es bereits ein Punktsymbol. Im allgemeinen werden für Punktsymbole Bearbeitungen verwendet, die maschinenmachbar sind. Mit einer Extrusion und verschiedenen Körperbearbeitungen kann man sehr komplexe Formen erzeugen, die keinerlei Maschinenbearbeitung enthalten. Für die modellierte und zeichnerische Darstellung kann man diese formgebenden Operationen ohne weiteres anwenden, sie sind allerdings nicht einzeln löschbar, also kaum zu korrigieren.

Punktsymbole bestehen aus tatsächlichen, korrigierbaren Bearbeitungen; sie können einzelne oder eine Kombination aus Bearbeitungen enthalten, die durch Variablenwerte bei der Eingabe angepasst werden können.

Anwenden kann man sie mit der normalen Version, machen kann man sie mit der Vollversion (PSB-Editor).

Some weeks ago, I closed a project, in order to open an other project. When I wanted to reload my first project, it was totally deleted. Not one file of it I found on my hard disk. In the trash bin there were some files, but none of them belonged to my project.

Very strange...

I tried a recovery software, it found lots of deleted files, but not one single project file.
Well, I save daily backups automatically one hour after midnight, so my yesterday's version would save me from total data loss.

BUT: THERE WAS NO PROJECT DATA!! 8O HOW COULD THAT BE??

I let my commander search in all of my 4 hard disks, no files found.
Then I had the idea, to search all files, that were not older than 1 day, and there were found files of a project that I finished 3 days ago.

Well, I had created a project with a wrong number in a wrong folder, so the name search could not be successful.

Maybe you have the same problem now?

Gib uns ein Beispiel.

Alles was an Verbindungen machbar ist, kann kombiniert werden. Wenn man's öfter braucht, empfiehlt sich ein Punktsymbol dafür anzulegen (nur mit Vollversion möglich).

Dein Unterzug hat keinen Halt, er saust mit Riesenknall Richtung Erdmittelpunkt, denn die 3 cm Vorholz sind schnell dahin.
Da gehört ein abgesetzter Schwalbenschwanz mit Konuswinkel hin.
Bei 5 cm Absatzmaß ergibt ein Konuswinkel von 17,61° an der Oberkante 10 cm Breite.

Select 2 points from...to, then the third button "Distribute"
The program shows the distance between the selected points.
Delete the measure "distance between 2 copies", then you can input a number of copies, and the distances will be recalculated.

Caution: If there is already a beam at the target place, after the operation there are two beams!

Der Flankenwinkel wird durch die Form des Fräsers festgelegt, und steht in der Regel auf 75°. Wenn man das nachrechnet, kommt es so aus, dass bei 28mm Tiefe eine Breite von 45.....60 mm ausgefräst wird.

Um nicht die volle Bauteilbreite zu verwenden, muss der Konuswinkel von Automatisch auf Manuell umgestellt werden. Dann ergibt sich die obere Breite aus dem Holzquerschnitt. Der Wert für die Breite ist der Fräsdurchmesser am Tiefpunkt, und muss mindestens 45 mm für den Normalfräser betragen.

Verschiedene Holzbreiten, teilweise Passbolzen, teilweise Stabdübel, da macht sowas doch Sinn. Und dann noch 3 unterschiedliche Bindertypen, da sollte eigentlich mit der Eingabe das Zählen erledigt sein.

Hängt niemend sonst Verbindungsmittel an Bohrungen?

Wenn ich ein Verbindungsmittel ohne Identnummer an die Bohrung hänge, geht die Längenzugabe.
Kommt das Verbindungsmittel dann in die Materialliste?

Ich habe im BDP einen Passbolzen ohne feste Länge angelegt.
Bei einer Bohrung mit Verbindungsmittel habe ich keine Möglichkeit, eine Längenzugabe einzugeben (graues Feld).
Beim Bohren entsteht der Bolzen mit der Breite des Stabes ohne Längenzugabe.

Stimmt etwas an meinen Einstellungen nicht?

Ist alles richtig, was Du geschrieben hast.

That's impossible. What you see is not the wall. Maybe you see a panel.
It could be possible, that you made a volume or Dicam attribute operation with the wall, that caused a duplication of the wall body.
If you don't find it out, please, load up the packed position (zgb file).

It could be, the section height is too low or too high to cut the wall columns.

In wall design there is a red line to define the section height.

There are 2 kinds of textures defined in texture sets:
- those which repeat in a defined x-y-direction
- others that are stretched to the whole area of a surface

And there are different types of parts, which need different texture sets:
- beams are filled with the same texture, except end A and B
- plates can be filled with different front and backside and the 4 sides around.

Texture sets are internal and normally users should not change them. (normally )
There is a folder "Freitext". You can replace these texture_xx.bmp with your own pictures. They will appear as 1x1 m. In CD version 7, there are more textures, named "Vollbild....bmp". They are made only for plates, and are stretched to the full front surface.
Feel free to make experiments with them.

Seamless textures must exactly fit left /right, and up/down. Making seamless textures in photoshop is something you really have to study. It is difficult to do, and takes much time. There is software to make artificial textures, but at the first time you use it, you will not get everything but the results what you want.

Das bessert sich nicht, wenn Du eine Firstbohle hast.

Ohne das Programm geöffnet zu haben, kannst Du nicht erwarten, dass es irgend etwas macht. Es muss zumindest im Hintergrund geöffnet sein, und die Mail-Zugangsdaten (pop3/smtp) einschließlich Kennwort kennen.

Es gibt keine Antwort für "die Maschine". Es ist ein Wagnis, darauf zu vertrauen.
