You can change the size of the view port, but I don't know if that helps you?

Hi. As you see on the picture, some of my rafters get the 2 cut end profile and some does not. What could course that?
-
Is it not so that if you do a function inside the main window, no questions are asked? Only if you do a function inside secondary windows you will be asked. That's how it works with me.
-
Yeah - I have also always thought that "insert stored image" should have been "insert stored drawing" - that would have been more intuitive.
-
Yeah, I agree. The same options that you have in wall design should be available in ceiling and roof design and in D-Cam. Not only some options in some modules. I think it is a shame too.
But I also want to say that Dietrichs is an amazing program!

Are you thinking about timber list? Because this was missing in D-Cam. I don't know how it is in version 8.
-
I know that the "images" are independent of the positions. But look at attached picture. Here you see drawings that have been made from position 4, 7 & 8. So if I delete position 7, how would this list then in princip look like? I mean the "images" that are listed under position 7, where will they go? I know they won't be deleted, but I am just curious about how it works - where they will then be listed?
-
I was was just thinking, because when you "insert stored image", they are found under specific positions - so if a position is deleted, under what position they would then be found?
-
I have used method 2 and it worked very well for me. One advantage with this method is also that it is much faster than doing it in D-cam (the operation it self is much faster).
The feature is good, but it is missing some functionality - as to pick single walls and ceiling that you want to mirror, in stead of entire floors.
-
Hi. I know that pla-files not belongs to positions - but when you insert stored images (drawings) in PlanCad, they are found under the positions where they are made.
What happens if you rearrange positions - like deleting positions you no longer need - but maybe you have taken out drawings from these positions???
-
I won't forget method 1, because it works very well and can be convenient in some cases. But I guess in this case method 2, might be better.
-
All right, then I have to move some ceiling area lines to figure out what ceiling areas to delete.
-
So:
Method 2, mirrors all wall volumes, incl. wall design all ceiling areas incl. ceiling design?? But that requires of course that there are no walls and no ceiling areas at the right side of the house. Let's say there are 10 walls at the left side of the house. Is wall 1 then mirrored into a new wall, with number 11 - and the same princip for the other walls and ceilings??
Method 1, here wall volumes and ceiling areas have to be made first, so that it is possible to assign the objects to the correct walls. Otherwise wall 1 will have objects that belongs to both it self and the mirrored copy.
-
Hi. It seems like I have 3 ceiling areas, that are copies of other 3 ceiling areas - but without any construction objects. Since they are positioned on top of the other 3 ceiling areas (but not with exact same heights - I can't delete them in ceiling areas. When I try to delete them in D-Cam's building Mos, nothing happens.

Hi. I have a 2 storey house that contains 2 apartments - one apartment on the left of the house's centerline and one to the right. The apartment to the right is a mirrored copy of the apartment to the left. Now I am designing this house as modules, and I would like to mirror the modules to the left, that I am finished with, in order to check if the mirrored drawaings I am making, are correct. I think there are 2 ways to do it:
1) In D-Cam select the parts that belongs to the module and mirror it. Then in the mirrored module to select the parts that belongs to a wall or ceiling and assign it to the correct wall or ceiling in building Mos. Advantage: This works fine. Disadvantage is if not all wall volumes and in my case especially ceiling areas are made in the mirrored module in advance.
2) To mirror in groundplan. This I have not really tried before, with construction objects. What is the advantages and disadvantages in this method?
-
Finally I had succes to finish cutting all similar beams. What, to my opnion, normally works best is to work with precision and to make male objects that are temporarily bigger than they should be.
I think next time I am going to make a stair like this, I would probably like to have the stair module...
But this time I didn't have time to wait to get it, and I also think it is good practice to make a stair like this manually - before using automatic software to do it. -
Aah yeah, precision - I remember that now. What other cutting or intersection methods are you thinking about?
-
Hi. I have tried and tried to cut this triangle piece of wood off, with intersecting volumes, but with no success.

Absolutely interesting candidates. Here are some links to the projects: http://www.architecture.at/por…&bid=207&sound=on&lang=en and http://www.architecture.at/news.php?lang=en&sound=on and http://www.waughthistleton.com/project.php?name=murray&img=1
