Ihr Team Dietrich's Online - Holzbau ist unser Programm

I am going to update my Dietrichs - I have v.6.02, but I am going to update it with new modules, and higher level on existing modules.

Earlier I have found that to get the same "program" as before (t.ex. when I installed it on my laptop - the only thing that is necessary to copy from one computer to another is the HRB-folder. Now I am used to have both project and HRB folder outside of the Dietrichs installation folders on the C-drive. Now I have them in different folders maybe on another drive. Then I just change settings / paths in the new installation.

I think I could do the same here. But I am not sure what is the best - parallel installation or update??

I have a house, where posts are cut into top- and bottom plates with shoulders, Ceiling beams and roof rafters are possibly also assembled with shoulders.

But the factory where we are going to produce this, doesn't have Krusi, so I should change all shoulders to straight cuts.

Is it possible to change all shoulders in a few simple operations or do I have to go into each wall etc. to change it??

Normally the timber numbers are put at the drawing with the textstyle DHPdefault. But suddenly, out of the blue it uses one of my own defined text styles, that have a little bigger text size.

Why?? And how to change what ever setting back to "normal"??

    Hello.

Does any of you had problems with importing e-mail folders and messages from Outlook Express 6 to Windows Vista's new version of Outlook Express, i.e. Windows Mail. I have copied all mail folders from XP, and Windows Mail does see the folders totally correct, but it does not import them.

I would like to try to start from fresh by reinstalling Windows Mail, to get rid of eventually wrong installation, but I don't know how.

Jim Rogers: Thank's for your suggestions. But: The Dietrichs 6.02 installation was a very clean installation on a very new laptop, where there have never before been Dietrichs. And also no antivirus software. And also no internet connection.

Jens Krause: Thank's for your answers too.
    1) OK - will see if it happens again. I have not remarked if it happens at specific occasions.

    2) The error occurs like this: I am finished to take out drawings in Dietrichs, and now I want to start D-Cad to make the production drawings. Then the error occurs, while trying to open D-Cad.

    Hi.

I thought that we could share our experiences with version 6.02, and gather information about problems in this version. Because to me it seems more unstable than 5.04.

    1) C:\Dietrichs06\Windat\DHPdat.ini dissapears once in a while, so the program cannot be started. The file can be copied from the files on the CD. But when you start the program some settings are resetted - like paths.

    2) Some times D-Cad will not start and makes it necessary to shut down the program from task manager, because the program freezes and don't answer.

In the program a OpenGL viewer is built in - aaah maybe you are thinking for customers that don't have Dietrichs. Then I don't know.
There are some possibilities with adobe acrobat 3D viewer.

I am not completely sure if you actually answered my question.

Now: When I bring in a drawing, a stored image, for example from layer -1 in construction program, then the lines are black. Are there no setting to tell the program, that it should create grey lines for this layer.

So: When I bring in a drawing, a stored image, for example from layer -1 in construction program, then the lines are grey.

    Hi!

When I make wall drawings, I make Dietrichs export the drawing with one block per layer (often 2 layers - timber and boards). When I put in layer 0 in plancad drawing the line are brown, and that's fine, and the lines for layer -1 are black. And then I change it to grey. How to change so layer -1 is automatic grey? And maybe how to change so layer -1 is automatic shown with solid brown hatch in PlanCad? I don't know if I would use that, but I have to see it in action to decide.

OK I will write to hotline - they should now. Because if I know from beginning that I should use Windows XP, then I will not waste time, trying something that will not work.
