Where are the timbers in my dormer walls?? Are they not accesible in the position file I send? I can not acces the timbers in wall design, but they are there somewhere.

So - is it bottom plates??

Position file. It is first time I work with dormers, so maybe I don't understand everything.

OK. I still see no 'purlin'.

I cannot find "purlin" in roof design, where is it supposed to be??

Another way could be to just put in plates (that will just run into the wall's top plate), and when finished, delete these plates - but then maybe the birth mouths will not stay??

Well, the solution that doug said, does not work for me. .. And Joachim's solution does not work also.

When I put a dormer on my roof, the dormer does not automatically cut the rafters. Should the software do that automatically or I have to do that manually?? And if automatically - then how?

It might be "purlin", but I did not work with that - so that's why I don't know what it is.

Is it possible to define the top beam (and gypsum(?)) as bottom plate for roof - so that rafters automatically get a birth mouth's cut around the edge of the wall (the edge of the outside gypsum).

As for now, I make this birth mouth manually in D-Cam, and it takes some time. :cry:

Whan making wall drawings I put the storey overview. In one drawing the storey overview shows the outline of ceiling correctly - but now something has changed and the ceiling is not shown in the storey overviews.

How or what to do??
