    Hi Der_Planer,

Here a favorite sport on Sunday is to watch NFL football the field is 100 yards long. Like you said it will be more like a 100 yard walk.... I'm currently at the 30 yard line not with the football but with the stair module! :)

    Hello Der_Planer,

I will go to the video and watch it step by step! A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step! ;)

    Thanks for the help!

I just purchased the staircase module and now I need to learn how to use it. Can anyone please advise? I have been informed that there is no written documentation.

    Thanks!

In D-Cam I am dimensioning a steel connector in 3-D. Every time I create the dimension, the object zooms way out, then I have to zoom back in again to create the next dimension then it zooms out then I zoom in. Can anyone please advise? I found out that the my assisting geometry points lines etc. that were off in the distance, must have been creating the problem.

When viewing a model in D-Cam in wireframe I have to move the mouse a lot to get the model to move and it's jerky. In GL rendering the rotation is smooth. Can I change a setting somewhere?

    Thanks!

I am trying to find (metall cladd 2) in the material database so I can copy it and change the steel roofing to brown. It's currently a game of hide and seek and I'm losing. Can someone clue me in on where to find it please see attachment? 8O

    Thanks!

    Hi Der_Planer,

So your thinking it is best to create two levels of walls one three feet high for the brick wall, and one five feet high for the board and batten? When I did this I had no problem with inserting windows because they were up into the board and batten area of my second story. My problem occurred with inserting a door that needed to cut through both wall surfaces.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jim,

If I use 3-8-3 the beam automatically extends into the depth of the housing which is nice. The only thing wrong with this is the housing gets cut across the full width of the 8†column. I know how to handle it with the notch function, but the notch function does not automatically extend the beam into the housing like the shoulder function does. So it appears the notch function has no capability to automatically extend the beam into the housing like the shoulder function does. Is this correct?
