Works perfect, thanks.

Its the joint at the top of wall 7 and 3.
This help more?
-
Excuse the crudeness, but I have quickly shaded the original attachment.
Shown in green is the area where the two beams overlap by 15mm. -
Yes, there is no choice to "save"
-
We have used the Half-Lap joint to create a lap between the green and blue beams.
Then we have exploded the lap joint on the blue beam, and changed the size of the lap so it notches into the green beam by 15mm on each side.
Now we need to notch the green beam to remove this 15mm of timber.
It works on one side only, but not the other side.We have tried this on several beams, and it works all works fine except for this one.
-
Help, I cannot notch the green beam where I have extended the blue beam.I can do this on all other beams, and even the other end of this beam.
Will someone pleas check my file. -
I have created a curved brace which I need to save as a wall macro. Is this an option module or should it be in a menu somewhere?!

Is there a way to perform a shouldered lap joint like the one in the picture?
I need to notch beam 2 by 15mm on each side of the lap.
I have used T-joint end cutoff on other beams, but this does not work for the corner joint. -
Hi Rob, I have been playing with that one but cannot get it to work. As you can tell, it has been on and off with using Dietrichs this year!

Only me again!
Quick one, im struggling to find the correct button to do a corner lap joint as shown in the pic below (excuse the quality)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

How do i draw this shape (as shown in the picture) to use as sheathing board (cladding)
Also how do you make wall volume transparent without loosing brickwork?
Thanks again.

Angled rafter is perfect. Thanks.

Hi guys, we are having trouble putting in valley and hip rafters on to an angled roof. The program does not think they need to be there, but has the rafters pitched onto nothing. How do I add a hip or valley, or at least something to nail the rafters too?
-
What I am trying and failing to do is to move the hip rafters so they do not meet in the middle. Is there a setting for this?
We usualy run the crown rafter straight into the end of the ridge plate and then cut the hips into the side of the crown rafter as in the photo. -
This is probably another simple question, but I cannot get the hips and ridge and crown-rafter to cut each other nicely at the intersection. Any ideas what settings I should have used?
If I go one step further and put the common rafters at the end of the ridge, then it is even more of a mess.

Thankyou, and sorry!

We are on a roll now, a whole two days using Dietrichs!
Anyway, we are struggling with gaps at the end of hip rafters in 11.02. Please have a look at the attached drawing and dietrichs file.

Thanks Rob,
Think i should have explained a little better before, i am doing a glazed gable at the moment and struggling with the triangular glazing in the gable. As it needs to be 8mm bigger than the space left over from the post positions.
Email me if you need the drawing.
Thanks again.
