  • Hello,

I know it is possible to hide or show all geometry lines in D-cam. I have a situation where I would like to hide only a few geometry lines. The reason why is that they cut through an area that I would like to do my extrusion. I understand the simple thing to do would be to just delete them. However, I also know that I am going to need them again soon. Is there a way to temporarily hide certain lines?

    Thank you!

    Hi Kayaker,

when I need switchable horizontal assisting geometry, I create a new storey therefore. I draw lines in the ground, I can separately switch them off, and I can change their height in the building by changing the height of the storey.

I can do the same with vertical geometry by using tiny walls with the only purpose to carry lines, points and arcs, and show them in the 3D building. Even when I push the wall, it's assisting geometry will also move with it.

You see, storey lines are more flexible than Dicam lines.

    Freundlich grüßt

  • Hi Der_Planer,

You have a very interesting approach to handling geometry lines. I will have to try it.

    Thanks Again,

    Kayaker
