  • So far, I've only been able to accomplish that in two steps.

    1. 5-2-01. Add req'd point (s)
    2. 5-8-1. delete unwanted point (s)

  • ArgentaHans,

Thanks Again. I use another Cad program that allows moving the extension line by just grabbing the end and moving it to a new location then the dimension recalculates. I'm thinking this might be a nice feature in Dietrich's.

    You can try function 3-03.

  • 3-03 is a very cool function. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Thanks for that tip ;)

But I think a little more flexibility would be nice, for example to move the end of a line, whether a dimension line or an object line, and not necessarily the corner point created by two lines. The feature allows me to choose a single line and move its end point only if it meets another line along its edge. If the end of the line I wish to move meets the end of another line, it appears I can only move the point created by the two lines. Having the capability to move the mid point of the line would also be a powerful feature.

In other words, move the ends of lines independently.

I would look for this feature only in D-CAD as I realize moving single ends of lines in a 3d model would be a nightmare. Mathematically speaking??

    Cheers

    Hansi.
