  • Hello!

I drew my most recent project out in 2D and built this scarf joint bench with dovetail tenon legs that friction fit though the seat.
I've drawn as much as possible to be able to view all the processes in D-Cam.

I would like to edit the scarf joint for my bench drawing, but I can't find the specific tag for it. Is there another way to complete the drawing? I would like to:

*add an angle to the end of the joint as per my project (I already cut the angle on one piece, but can't make the other piece match up) see pic

*add the wedge hole for the scarf

*place the pegs (I made the holes, but can't find pegs)

    As Always,
    Thanks!!

  • Hi Pimenthal,

for this special design of a "scarf joint", you cannot use the function "Scarf joint" but you have to shape the beam "manually" in Dicam by putting in Timbers in the correct position and using the functions "lap joint" (4-Axis machine) or "notch" (K2-5).

For the pegs, use 2-1-2 Constant Section "Circular"
