  • I wonder why? when doing a smart tag of a joinery such as a mortise. The diagram indicates choices for the "x" measurement.... in the list to input this info, the "x" does not appear anywhere? Can this be upgraded?
As well, for all us Imperial folk, having these settings in inches would be great.

    Thanks
    Eric

  • Hi Eric

First off - I think the x measurment defines the position of the mortice on the beam. When using a smart tag this is chosen at the end of the operation when you place the processing so therefore doesn't need a setting when actually defining the tag.

Secondly, in my PSB (Smart Tag) folder, I have a whole collection of processes which use inches. Take a look at the screen shot.

    Hope this helps

    Rob

  • As Rob mentioned, there are a lot of smart-tags already in inches that you can use (and mortise is certainly one of them.) There are a few of the more abstract ones that don't have an Imperial counterpart, but, you can use the smart-tag editor (if you have it), to swich the units around, and, even the "default" values and the like.
