Hello - what do you mean with "... add them to building_MOS of GF1_wall_xx." ??

In your point 2 I think you mean "Goto Dicam, activate all material in GF2_wall_1... (not GF1_wall_1).

And how to have Dicam to show only GF2_wall_1?? All these lines are confusing.

Aah of course - first of all I can deselect all other than GF1 and GF2 walls. And then I can use the plan view.

    Hello.

I didn't know - until too late - that I could change heights of single walls. So to make different heights, I made more than one groundplan GF1, GF2 etc. How stupid!

So now if I want to make a drawing of ground plan, it is difficult because I can't collect all GF1, GF2, etc at one time, and insert in drawing at one time!??

    Hello!

Hope someone can help me. I am going to put raftes at a house - but the rafters are going to be put in the other direction than normally - see enclosed pictures. The picture from Dietrich is done with battens, but I first of all they are positioned in wrong layer / slice and not in the core slice - secondly the first rafter at the eve is hanging in the air, but I could just delete it if I like. And that leads to another thing - how to do the overhang in this case?

But the first question is most interesting - how to put rafters in that direction? I thought about making a ceiling area, but ceiling don't have a slope...

    Hello!

Der_planer: I think "ablage" is "groundplan"(?). I am not sure how you would delete the old plan after inserting new one.

What I was thinking of to do was almost what you suggest: I would delete the old drawing image (before I do so I would draw a helpline or point at a point that is going to stay) - then I can insert the new plandrawing - then there could be some text etc. that should be edited and / or moved.

Jens Krause's suggestion sounds almost as good as automatic update - it sounds like a bit smarter way to do it.

Of course if I want to keep the first version of the drawing to have more versions of the house / groundplan, I could first do a copy of the drawing before I change it. (I assume that is possible?).

But still - intelligense and connection between model, and drawings could be a good idea to implement in future updates. I know it is common in some other 3D drawing software. Then it could be convenient to have this choice: When you have made some changes in the model and you are ready for drawings - then the program should ask you: "keep existing drawing(s) - insert changed drawing in a copy of existing drawing(s)" or "overwrite existing drawing(s)". If option 1 is choosen then the program should ask you what point should stay in place.

    How intelligent is the software?

I mean for example: If you have already made drawings, for example of the ground plan and then make changes in your model, move a wall, change wall thickness etc. - will the software then update the drawing??

So how intelligent is the software??

Ok - thanks for the answers - I will look at it. I have now tried the method to make a new wall property and change the walls one by one with that wall property - but if it is possible to change all walls with same property at one time, that method could also be convenient in some cases. - And the HRB- method could be convenient if one is almost finished drawing the house with timbers etc.

Allright, I just realize that this topic is a little bit a mix "wall properties" and "file structure".... Well I hope it's ok.

Next question: If one have been drawing a house with external walls, internal walls etc - with some defined properties for the walls - what if you suddenly find out that you want to change the properties for the external wall for example. Maybe you want your posts to be 75x225 in stead of 45x200, because your engineer (me...) told you to... Then you want to change core slice from 200 to 225. (there is still not timber in the walls, just to keep it simpel). If I do so, nothing happens - so it is not possible?? The program don't update the model with the new properties??

I thought this software was excellent... ;)

Well of course - if the software doesn't update such changes - then there are ways out of it:
    1) Before you start drawing be sure your properties are as you want it to be.
    2) If you still have to make changes, then make a new grond floor plan, number 2, draw the walls with the changed properties on top of the old walls, and then delete the old walls.

I am very new in the world of Dietrich's so sorry if there are some possibilities I don't see yet - but I am very fast learning.... ;)

    Hello Doug!

That is exactly something like that I mean! Or for example "house with vertical facadeboards", "house with horizontal boards"...

We understand each other completely! ... :)

Well .png, .jpeg etc. doesn't matter so much - if .png is better quality, then it's fine for me. ;)

Inthermo have so far been the most helpful - I have had a good dialogue with them via e-mail.

One thing I would like to ask you about: Can one put the facade boards or log profiles, directly on top of DWD, Intermo etc., or do you always need battens to make ventilation behind the facade??

Automatic sequential numbers for the pictures? Well that is not what I wanted. Because a number doesn't say much about the picture. I really would like a "save as" function, where you see the directory you are saving the picture into, and where jpeg t.ex. is standard. ;)
