Der_Planer, I thought it would be nice to be able to show them in open GL rendering translucent objects. The outline of the shear plate would then show up in a D-Cad 2D shop drawing indicating additional fabrication.
-
I'm just wondering how to design and process shear plates, in D-Cam and into our timber joinery ? Anyone have any tips ?
Thanks! -
Yes it would be seperated vertically I'll see what I can do.
Thanks!

Jens,
Attached is a double hung window that I'd like to show in D-Cam.
-
Hi Jens,
I followed your path 1-5-3 DLM and select General - Square Windows- Square Window 2 sash. Now it must be rotated ? Are there any setting that I should tweak It looks more like a casement to me.
-
I would prefer to see double hung in windows in my building is this possible ?
-
I'd like to place 1" x 4" trim around my windows and door openings interior and exterior. Can someone guide me through the procedure ?

Thanks Der_Planer I'm new to Dietrichs and making progress. I did make my cut in D-Cam. I like the offset tool in the other modules. In D-cam is there a simple command, that one would use for off setting lines which is so often done. I used copy line and did my offset 1/4" left and right. but there must be another way? To all of you, thanks for the help !
-
I was in D-cam with my metal shape cutting it longer in D-Cam I could not find the right tool. I went back into wall design and used the cut tool I offset lines 1/4" to the left and right and used them as the line to cut to which worked. Can this be done in D-CAM ?
-
I placed in D-Cam a 1/4" x 8" x 13" A36 cold rolled metal shape. I would like to change it's length from 13" to 13 1/2". Can I do this with out having to delete it and insert a new shape ?

Der_Planer, maybe now is not the best time to let you know I figured out how to copy my GF walls to the TF. I appreciate your effort in trying to help but more importantly, I'm really glad I'm not within arms reach, you would probably strangle me to death. I hope you recover your file soon. Thanks ! Kayaker.

-
Oh no! I'm Sorry to hear what happened, I hope you can recover your file ! Obviously.... I can't be of any help.
-
Ok.... Der_Planer, now I need to only figure out what Stockwerk / Ubernehmen means.
-
Ok, How do I copy the GF walls into the TF ?
-
I want to select 5-walls drawn in the GF and move them to the TF. Are you able to select all 5 walls and move them to the new level all at once? How do I accomplish this ?
-
Piers66 lets see if this works.

My roof is short of my gable end walls, I need to extend my roof so the gable end walls get trimmed to the roof slope.
-
I placed 2 steel connectors on to a beam in D-Cam when I go to wall design only one of them shows ? Although, I can see the base plate and holes are gray in wall design, the connection at the other end of the beam is fine?
