I'm in a position where I created a roof profile a simple gable roof that will contain trusses. I currently have the (rafters) top chord of the truss in place along with wall plates. My plan now is to finish up adding the truss members and change one end to a "Dutch Hip" then proceed with adding the addtional roof members. Is this possible can anyone pass along a tip or two on how to proceed ?

    Thanks!

D-Profile where does this program reside in Dietrich's? In the PDF tutorial It say's to go to... 1-1-1 to create a new roof profile.?.. if I go to 1-1-1 it is create a new position.

In addition to the wish list. It would be nice to have bolts / connectors in U.S. customary (inches) along with the symbols in the folder "PlanBiB" being in U.S. Customary ( feet / inches ).

    Der_Planer,

My goal is to be able to visualize the bolt. I see several projects in the picture gallery showing the bolt.

    Thanks!

    Der_Planer,

I located the bolt M12x140 But I am not sure of the settings for proper placement. I am just trying to insert the bolt through one beam for now. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! I see only metric bolt sizes are available am I correct. I am also getting a message library element not found.

    Thanks!

I think I'm getting the idea. I see each board needs to be applied to the slice. When I selected the texture / attribute board and batten for my exterior walls it was applied to the exterior of all wall surfaces in one fell swoop. I was thinking that the same would be true for the interior wall surface.

Der_Planer, The attachment shown with the lines in the open GL workspace shows a closed polygon and will be extruded in the Y direction 4" which does work. Take a look at the same polygon and see how it shows when not in the open GL workspace The goal is a curved bottom chord. I heard this problem will be fixed in my next update I'm currently in version 6.02. One more thing, I understand here in Crivitz, WI USA we have a sister city which is Crivitz, Germany. Would you happen to know where Crivitz, Germany is ? Thanks !

Where does one setup a preferred line thickness so that when drawings are sent to plancad 2D, "beam lines" come in at the preferred line thickness? This would eliminate the need for changing various lines each time.Weight

My problem is with geometry lines in D-Cam not being in the correct position. I found out...not being in the open GL workspace had incorrect results. In the open GL workspace it is correct. See screen shots. Any Idea why.

    Thanks!

Der_Planer it worked great excellent explanation, I did find out I needed to go from center to center of beam. Thorvald, thanks for your idea. Your help makes the learning curve more fun less stressful !

    Thanks! Kayaker

I have two beams in D-cam, D-Cam must be able to copy and distribute two additional beams evenly spaced without me having to specify the distance between the beams. Any tips
