  • Hi.

There is something wrong with this drawing - the first page in the PDF file.

When printed to PDF - alone or with other drawings, it is rotated 180 degrees. If I try to use Foxit PDF Page Organizer to rotate the page 180 degrees it seems to work. But because it is a trial version, there are written some annotations on the PDF file from Foxit PDF Page Organizer. If I then print the PDF file to PDF, without anotations, it is rotated 45 degrees.

Then in PlanCad I try to make a new drawing, and copy the content on the drawing to this new drawing. But when I copy to clipboard, the program crashes. (Version 8 by the way).

If you have this problem once or twice, you should not think about it. In AdobeReader, you can use <Ctrl><Shift><+> or <-> to rotate the drawing in 90° steps, so the problem is gone.

If not, rotate and print it again from AdobeReader to new pdf, then it should be correct. Sometimes I also get rotated plans from architect. Well, I know the keys to rotate them, no problem...

  • I don't use AdobeReader, it is not a good program. I use Foxit Reader - an excellent PDF viewer. I know in the viewer I can turn the page. But that is not the point. When I print this page together with other drawings, because I want to make a set of drawings to send out, this one page is wrong and the other pages correct. I cannot accept that.

I tried in Foxit Reader to turn the view. Then print to PDF this one page and in settings, turn on 180 degrees rotate. Then I get the result turned 45 degrees...

Does anybody have a PDF edit program, where you can rotate the drawing to correct view?

Oh by the way - I just tried the same as above, just in Adobe Reader 7, that I also have installed - and now it worked... So maybe Foxit Reader could not handle rotation in print thing in this case. Maybe by the way I should check if I have the latest version of Foxit Reader. Now I can print the other drawings I wanted to be together with this one in a set and assemble them with pdfedit995. By the way, maybe I could have tried to rotate it with this program as well. Maybe it's too hot for me here in the Philippines.......

  • Hi, I just saw that the same problem, came with a picture file that I printed to PDF.

Where is the problem actually? PDF printer, PDF viewer where?
