Length additions to Glulam objects

    Hello,


    I have exported my list to Project Data, and now I am trying to add 6" to the lengths of all of my pieces.


    When I click the length additions button on the toolbar the list pops up and includes all other types of objects, but does not include GLU, the Item# that I wish to round up. I scrolled to the bottom of the list and it is not there.


    How can I add GLU to the list to be rounded?

    Hi Daniel,


    did you change the item number only in the timber list or did you add GLU to the material data base? The lenght addition works only with materials saved in the database.

    If you want to add 6" to all pieces select the whole list and just use the function 'Columns - Length.


    The function you selected in your printscreen (length addition) is only for materials which exist in the database. This function is made to add different lengthes to different types of beams.

    Thank you all for your responses. I can now see the difference between rounding an entire list versus rounding specific materials in the list.


    I spoke with Wil, and he pointed out that I needed to ensure that the order number of the material was also in the material database. See attached photos for how to access the material database and make changes.

    You can also just change the number in the length column to the longer length. copy that new length and paste it into all others lines of the same item.
