Updated Hardware Requirements and Recommendations

Hi,

What are the current hardware recommendations and requirements?

Also, does anyone have recommendations for 15" laptops and video cards? Are there good options other than Quadro cards?

Each actual available laptop should be ok. I would use 8GB Ram or more and a SSD.
For working with our software a bigger monitor than 15" would be good but if you use an external monitor a 15" laptop would be ok. I use a 15" laptop as well and have an external monitor.
It is difficult to give a recommendation for a video card because the driver is the most important part and the driver can change. We use Quadro cards and we do not have problems with that.
Perhaps you have the possibility to test our software on a laptop you want to buy.

Thanks for the info. A few more questions:

Are there any compatibility issues with Windows 8.1?

Are menu icons visible with 3200 x 1800 screen resolution?

There is no problem with our software in Windows 8.1 (perhaps with the Windows itself).

I have never seen such a resolution but I do not think that there will be a general problem with that. You will need bigger icons but you can select the size yourself.
