We are working on a large project and would like to split the work between two of us. We have created a position with wall volumes and roof calculations. Now one person is woking on the wall framing and simple roofs. The other person is working on complex roofs on other part of the project in another position. How do we copy what one person has worked on and combine the two people's work into one position?

Hello Hansi,
this is a difficult job, and maybe even not possible. I once did it the same way by copying some project files and then I had the complete building. This method works, but it requires that one special file never must be changed: There is one file, that describes all wall forms and roof faces. If this file is changed by only one person, you cannot get a correct result. (You may not even push a wall or change a door or window size.)
The only thing to do is Dicam 1-1-6 and 1-1-7. You can take over all beams and panels, but they will lose their MOS structure. All imported elements will be in free construction.

To make this process easier use the command 1-1-6 for each individual wall, ceiling, and roof volume. You can quickley select the pieces by using the Building MOS 6-4. Once you are ready to insert the pieces with 1-1-7 be sure to set the Building MOS to the correct voulme and layer. This way all the pieces will be in the correct MOS.
