OSB boards on roof?

    How to put OSB boards on the roof?? I have upgraded to D-roof premium, so it should be possible, right? I don't use the elementation module yet, even though I got that one also. First I don't think it will be an advance for the project I am working on now, secondly I don't have time to find out how the elementation module works.


    But back to the question, how to put OSB boards on the roof??

    I cannot explain this with all details but here is a short version:
    Use 5-8 to calculate the roof areas.
    Then use 5-02 to define your settings.
    Now use 5-04 to calculate the panels.

    I tried but I don´t think it worked out. Why it is not made in the same way as in wall and ceiling design, where you directly can put osb boards of sizes you define??? Why make it so complicated in roof design??

    It is not complicated. We tried to give you a more automatic function. Specialy on roof you often do not use big panels but small boards. In this case you do not want to place each single board. The actual function does a lot of automatic analysis which would be hard to make by hand.
    Perhaps some day we will get a manual function too.

    Ok - but we are not using small panels. We use OSB boards as under-roof, wind stop etc. so here the roof is much like walls. Even if you have more complicated roofs, each roof surface or part of the roof, could be seen as a "wall", where you can put your boards. One option is maybe that I put the boards as rafters, with a OSB auxilary.


    But is there any place where I can read about this in details?
