Menu Program is loosing Position-INFO

First...
Since I couldn't find any reference to the Menu-Program (??), I decided this is the place to post my question.

Here is my problem:
The Menu-Program keeps loosing the POSITION-INFO.

For example:
007 - Residential Timber Frame(2) might only show up as 007, the next time I finished working on this position and exit DICAM.

I have not been able to establish a particular pattern of occurrence. First I thought it was linked to some crashes, which I experienced in DICAM -- not any more. We also encountering the same problem with our Office computer, a DELL desktop system. Both, machines are running XP SP1.

We never experienced this problem prior to the current DICAM installation:

DHP-System: 0903 250504
Set-up Data: 15-7-2004...

Any suggestions why this would happen?

AFTERTHOUGHT: Some of these positions had been created by copying a previous version of this position (i.e. new position - copy)

wäre echt super ,wenn sich jemand von den englisch Profis, die mühe würde machen, die in englisch geschriebenen Beiträge grob ins deutsche
zu übersetzen.

I too, have had this problem, loosing position info.
If there is a solution, can we get it in English?
The last post seems to be in German. I thought this was the English section?

We have a report of this error in our database.

It seems you lose the position info if you exit without saving and click YES when asked if you want to save your changes.

If you save 1-1-3 before exiting the program this should not happen.
We are working on ironing this glitch out.

You are right, this is the english forum. Everybody who (sort of) speaks english is welcome to join.
(I hope you don't kick me out now )
For the others we have forums in German, and soon will have Italian and French.

I don't mind if anyone posts to this section, a solution to a problem, but if it's posted in German, the users who don't speak or read German need it translated.
I appreciate all help we can get from everyone, but as a moderator you should/could translate an all German post in this section using the "quote" function for all non German reading users.
Thanks for posting a work around solution to the save position info problem.

Hi,

the german answer in this section was not an answer (help) to your problem. The german guy asked us to translate the english post into german. We cannot translate all english posts into german language. We have special english and special german sections. We told this to 'Nervensäge'.

I totally understand.
But I would like to also ask, that if a workaround solution to a known problem is found and posted in another language section could it also be posted into this section?
So that we "all" can understand the solutions.

Hallo zusammen!
Es wäre doch aber angebracht, dass interessante Themen in verschiedenen Sprachen (siehe Sprache in DHP) übersetzt werden!
Man sollte auch mal an die kleinen denken! Z.B. Kroatisch die haben in der Schule russisch als Fremdsprache gehabt und können wenig mit dem Forum anfangen!?

Wir können nicht noch anfangen, alle Posts in die verschiedenen Sprachen zu übersetzen. Die Betreuung des Forums kostet auch so schon sehr viel Zeit. Ich möchte daher bitten, keine deutschen Kommentare mehr im englischen Forum zu schreiben. Wer wil, kann sich gerne auf englisch betätigen.
