Why the bottom of the roof is visible only at the one roof sides, and not at the other two roof sides???
Why no bottom of my roof?

Hello Thorvald,
the situation seems to be defined by the settimgs for the intersection in the roof aera properties. Please mail this position to >> hotline@dietrichs.com <<.
-
Here is another one, that makes me crazy.... :?
-
Another picture. Problems: Walls is running through roof, strange colors, bottom slice of roof properties is not shown correct - should be plaster boards.
-
Hi Thorvald,
when I had the same problems some months ago. They told me not to smoke too much "strange tobacco", then the colours would soon again appear normal to me...
Some weeks later I had to install a new graphics card (the cooler fan had stopped doing it's job). Then the texture- and colour problems disappeared.
-
If I change the heights for the roof there is no problems with colors. Is it a problem, that I have two topfloors TF2 and TF3 - I needed that to put the wall elements on top of each other, so they could go to the ridge.
-
Please, upload the packed models (.zgb), then someone has the chance to find out the reason.
-
Oh yes - I can also upload files - good idea - I was not thinking about that...
-
Hi Thorvald,
the first thing you should change is the direction of roof slices.
After doing so, the building will get a better lookIn your model, the wrongplaced slice +1 is no "german: Kernlage". This is the reason, why it's ending at the walls.
The wall above the roof have bottom height of 5,00 m. You should make sure that at least one end is below the cut-defining roof slice. In your case some walls are complete above the roof, so you better delete them.
-
I've changed the roof slices, deleted the walls above the roof and set other line definitions (offsets) for roof slice +3.
Now it looks different: -
Eeiiiih - I made wrong definition of slices ...2, 1, 0, -1, -2..., that never happened to me before... #-o And I understand what you mean with walls that are only above cutting slice of roof.
Thank you, very, very much for your excellent help!! :applause:
-
Ooh, I can not open your version of the house, because your software version is newer than mine. But that's ok - I know now what to change. Thank's again. So now I don't need to stop smoking strange tobaco - because that was not the reason.....
-
I don't understand this: ...and set other line definitions (offsets) for roof slice +3 How to do that?
-
I can hardly explain it in English, so see the picture:
-
I don't understand what I am supposed to do here:
-
You can define offsets for every slice and every line. In your model in slice 3 there is a plaster panel. When all offsets are zero, then this panel has the same overhang as the roof, so it is visible from outside the building. Therefore set negative offsets to slice 3, then the panel will end between the external walls.
-
Like these settings (see pictures), but it does not help??
-
There is one thing in the program, that I don't understand, perhaps it's a bug: like in your picture, the slice_3 is automatically cut between the internal walls. I think, this should not be.
In the roof definitions I set the internal walls to be cut under slice_3. If you do the same, you will see, that the panel will be as wide as the whole roof. When you've got it, then try to change the offsets again. -
Ok - now it is how I wanted it to be. I think a problem was also that my eave heigth was wrong - but now it works!!
Thank's for all your help!
