Hi, who can explain why in roof design module isnt timber list for production (in plancad module) on drawings?

Hi Vilmantas,
a timber list contains one line per dimension and length. The available space for a timber list in the drawings would only be sufficient for timber lists of very simple roofs with very few dimensions and lengths. In a hip roof or L-shaped roof you have at least 20 to 30 jack rafters with different lengths that would create a very long list.
So for roofs you should create an "external" timber list in project data program. After outputting the list to word, you can also copy and paste the list to PlanCAD (D-CAD 2D) (make sure that you use a text-style with a sheet)

general instructions on how to create lists in our project data program you can find in our basic "CAD design tutorial".
Having the 3D construction programs and project data program in two different languages is only possible if you work with two different installations. Please right click on both of the icons for "Dietrich's System" and "Project Data" on the desktop and check the target path. If one of the links is targeted to "c:\Dietrichs06\Windat" and the other one to "c:\Dietrichs07\Windat", you work in two different versions.Best regards,

What does this mean for computer illeterate "make sure that you use a text-style with a sheet"?? :oops:

It's not difficult, only some steps to do:
Settings:
- in building data program:
create a new list template with only the few columns, that you need on the plan.- in plancad:
define a textstyle with a lot of columns (6-1).
be sure to make very small column width (> 0,001 m), otherwise you will have problems with short words.
store the text settings to your database, then it will be available in every drawing.How to get the list on the drawing:
- in building data program:
create your timberlist as usual, use the new template "list for plan"- in Word:
highlight and copy the rows which you need on the plan- in plancad:
create a new more-line-text, using the new settings "with columns"
insert the clipboard text.
if you have a long list, you should edit the text, delete page numbers, ...
